Dr Yanez Peerbaccus is a dual trained gastroenterologist and internal medicine specialist. He graduated from the University of Cape Town-South Africa in 2005.
He moved to New Zealand in 2007 where he completed his advanced training in Auckland and was awarded his fellowship (FRACP) in 2018.

He relocated to North Brisbane in early 2020 to work part-time at Caboolture Public Hospital and STARS hospital (Herston). He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and an Examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Physician.
