Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist & Internal Medicine

Dr Yanez Peerbaccus is a dual trained Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist and Internal Medicine Specialist. He graduated from the University of Cape Town-South Africa in 2005. 

He then moved to New Zealand in 2007 where he completed his advanced training in Auckland and was awarded his fellowship (FRACP) in 2018. 

Dr Peerbaccus received extensive training in 

- general gastroenterology

- inflammatory bowel disease

- liver diseases

- motility disorders

- functional disorders 

and attended Bariatric Endoscopy Masterclass (Strasbourg, France) and Hopkins International Therapeutic Endoscopy Course at JohnsHopkins University (Baltimore, USA). 

He relocated to North Brisbane in early 2020 to work part-time at Caboolture Public Hospital and STARS hospital (Herston). He was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and an Examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Physician.
